This year the St Werburghs Arts Trail has endeavoured to create a thriving and vibrant community event, bringing more activities, performances, games, foods and sports for you to enjoy. Also with the support of Quartet three local artists have had the opportunity to invite more community groups; Khaas, St Matthias Park Pupil Referral Unit and Awaz Utaoh to join in the trail for the first time. So please take some time to see the the results of these projects at the St Matthias Park or take part in some craft workshops at the Community Centre. Saturday Saturday Afternoon: Khaas Community Centre Foyer Children and young people of Khaas have been working with a local artist, using new and recycled textiles to create beautiful and useful objects. Come along and see the products, buy a few of their wares or try out the free workshop for yourself with the young people helping you along. 
10.30 am to 4.30 pm: Children's Scrapstore Green Open Day Children's Scrapstore, 21 Sevier Street A celebration of all things environmental and the launch of our solar powered building, including stalls, competitions, exhibitions, entertainment and workshops. The Scrapstore warehouse will be open to the general public for one day only. Don't miss it! Contact: enquiries@childrensscrapstore.co.uk / www.childrensscrapstore.co.uk 11 am - 5 pm: Hot Air Balloon Workshop Boiling Wells Site Samantha Davey will be running a workshop throughout the weekend. She will be making small hot air balloon models (approx 3x5 inches), which people will be able to decorate when they drop in on their way around the trail. The finished models will be attached to ribbon/string and kept as decoration for the farm/Boiling Wells. Throughout the Day: Awaz Utaoh Community Centre Awaz Utaoh joins the St Werburghs Arts Trail 2011 bringing a mini cultural festival to the St Werburghs Community Centre on Sunday 25th September. There will be Bollywood dancing workshops to get jiggy to, sari wrapping, the beauty of henna, interactive Asian cooking demonstrations and a display of artwork created by the group.
